Riff Mates should feel welcoming whether somebody knows three chords or has toured for twenty years. These simple expectations apply to profiles, jam listings and private messages.
Be honest
Use your own identity and photographs. Describe your experience and intentions truthfully, without impersonating another musician or organisation.
Keep it musical
Do not use Riff Mates for unrelated promotions, scams, repeated advertising or unwanted messages.
Respect boundaries
A declined request or unanswered message is not an invitation to keep trying. Block or report contact that makes you uncomfortable.
Protect privacy
Do not publish somebody else’s address, phone number, private messages or personal information without permission.
Help keep it safe
Use the report controls for unsafe behaviour or inappropriate content. Reports go to approved Riff Mates moderators.
Something doesn’t feel right?
Block the member to stop further contact, report the relevant message or profile, and contact the Riff Mates team if more context is needed.
